India Rain Alert: IMD Weather Forecast Till August 2 

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather forecast indicating moderate to heavy rainfall in several states, including Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, and Telangana, over the next five days. 

Let’s take a detailed look at the IMD weather forecast till August 2:

Northwest India

Uttarakhand: Light to moderate widespread rainfall with isolated showers from July 27-31. Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, and West Uttar Pradesh: Anticipate light to moderate widespread rainfall with isolated showers between July 27 and 29. Rajasthan and J&K: Light to moderate widespread rainfall with isolated showers from July 28 to 31. 

Central India: 

Chhattisgarh: There will be light to moderate rainfall with isolated instances of very heavy rainfall on July 27-28. Vidarbha: Light to moderate rain with isolated very heavy rainfall on July 27 and 28. 

West India

Konkan and Goa: Light to moderate rainfall with heavy to very heavy isolated rainfall from July 27 to 29.  Mumbai & other neighbouring areas might experience heavy rainfall on July 28. 

South India

Telangana and Coastal Karnataka might see light to moderate, fairly widespread rainfall with isolated occurrences of heavy to very heavy rainfall on July 27 and 28. 

East India

Odisha: Moderate widespread rainfall with isolated heavy showers from July 27 to July 31.  West Bengal & Sikkim: Moderate widespread rainfall with isolated heavy showers from July 27 to July 29. Jharkhand: Moderate widespread rainfall with isolated heavy showers from July 29 to 31. Bihar: Moderate widespread rainfall with isolated heavy showers on July 31. 

Northeast India

Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya: Light to moderate rainfall with isolated heavy showers on July 27 and 28, as well as from July 30 to August 2.
