Nepal offered 'Shaligram' rocks for Ram Mandir idols. Apart from this, around 500 people have commenced a 'yatra' from Janakpur, believed to be Sita's birthplace. These people are also carrying more than 1100 baskets of wedding gifts for Lord Ram.
Sri Lanka, believed to be the land of Ravana, sent sacred Seetha Eliya 'Shila' and Lord Ram's 'charan paduka' from Ashok Vatika, the place where Sita was held captive by King Ravana.
Thailand has sent soil and water from two of its sacred rivers for the consecration ceremony of the temple. Notably, the Thai religious text "Ramakien" is a Thai version of the Hindu epic Ramayana.
Mauritius allowed a special break of 2 hours for practising Hindus on the day of Pran Pratishtha (consecration ceremony) as a gesture of devotion to the Ayodhya temple.
