IndiGo airlines reported a record 206 technical snags in 2023 till July as per a statement by India's Ministry of Civil Aviation. IndiGo operates the largest fleet of over 300 aircraft and over 1,800 daily flights.
Both A and B fleets of Air India reported technical snags 49 times in 2023 till July. The Tata-owned airline operates 119 aircraft, less than half of IndiGo.
Go First, founded as GoAir, is a temporarily-ceased Indian ultra-low-cost airline based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It ceased operations in May but reported 22 snags till then. It operates just 53 aircraft.
Spice Jet, which operated 88 aircraft by the end of last year, reported 21 snags till July 2023. Last year, the company reported a total of 143 snags.
The company reported just 18 technical snags till July 2023. However, the fleet size of the airline is also significantly smaller than others. It operates only 20 aircraft.
With a fleet of 60 aircraft and more than 270 flights a day, Vistara reported just 10 snags till July this year.
