According to American Express 2024 Global Travel Trends Report, 34 per cent of Indians are planning on travelling solo.
The global average of people intending to travel solo stands just at 18 per cent. With 34 per cent of Indians planning to travel solo, the world's fifth largest economy's people are topping the solo travel game.
The report found that 84 per cent of Indians planning to travel solo in 2024, plan on taking a solo trip centered around self-love and treating themselves.
The report added that reconnecting with themselves (46 per cent), getting a break from chaotic daily life (39 per cent) and being independent (34 per cent) are other top reasons Indians would consider going on solo trips.
