Amer Fort is connected to Jaigarh Fort through underground secret tunnels which allowed the royal family to move between the two forts during times of war.

Amer Fort hosts an evening light and sound show. The show narrates the history of the fort and its rulers through colourful lighting effects.

The fort is reflected in the serene waters of Maota Lake. The lake was not only a source of water for the fort but also added to the defensive measures, as it surrounded the fort.

The Ganesh Pol is one of the four gates of Amer Fort. It is a stunning entrance with a vibrant fresco depicting Lord Ganesha, the Hindu deity. It was the entry into the private palaces of the Maharajas.
