Ganesh Chaturthi, the auspicious Hindu festival, is celebrated worldwide. The celebrations to receive the divine blessings of Lord Ganesha take place in different countries. Here are six countries that celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi:

India

This festival is celebrated with utmost joy and excitement in India. People across the country celebrate the birth of Lord Ganesha by bringing a small idol home and worshipping him. Big pandals are set up in different cities, and the festivities include dancing, singing, aarti, and visarjan.

USA

The Indian population in the United States holds grand celebrations on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. Most Hindu festivals are organised by the Hindu Swamsevak Sangh in different temples across the US.

Singapore

In Singapore, beautifully sculpted idols of Lord Ganesha are installed in large mandaps (large tents) and often decorated with a religious theme. During the celebrations, there are huge public displays of Lord Ganesha with aarti, loud music, and dance by the devotees.

Australia

In Australia, one of the most famous Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations is the Melbourne Ganesh Mahotsav. It is a one-day celebration where devotees come together and enjoy the festival.

Malaysia

Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with great joy in the Malaysian capital city of Kuala Lumpur. The main celebrations are organised in Brickfield, with thousands of devotees in attendance. The idol of Lord Ganesh is made with biodegradable material, which after visarjan turns into food for marine animals.

Canada

Grand celebrations are organised in Canada. The biggest outdoor celebration is Canada Cha Raja-Ganesh Mahotsav. This year, it features a spectacular 17-feet Ganpati Idol from Mumbai (India). It is a five-day-long event starting from September 11 with Maha Aarti every day.
