Badam ka Halwa (Almond Halwa) is a rich and flavourful Indian dessert made from almonds and milk. Take a look at these five easy steps to prepare this dessert at home:
You will need 1 cup of almonds, 1 cup of milk, 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/4 cup of ghee and a pinch of cardamom powder.
Soak the almonds in hot water for 30 minutes, then peel them. Blend them into a coarse paste with a little milk.
In a pan, heat the ghee and add the almond paste. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until lightly golden.
Pour in the remaining milk and sugar, stirring continuously. Cook until the mixture thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan.
Add cardamom powder and mix well. Garnish with chopped almonds and serve warm.
