If you are a chocolate lover, make these delicious chocolate banana pancakes on a winter morning for breakfast!
In a large bowl, whisk together 1 cup all-purpose flour, 3 tablespoons cocoa powder, 1 and 1/4 teaspoons baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, 3 tablespoons sugar and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
In a separate bowl, mash 1 large ripe banana and add 1 cup buttermilk, 1 large egg, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1 tablespoon vegetable oil. Mix until combined well.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix well.
Remove the mixture from the heat and start rolling into balls with wet hands.
Garnish with banana slices, chocolate shaving, or syrup of your choice. Serve!
