In a heavy saucepan, add 3/4 cup sugar on low heat until it melts and turns golden. Pour it into custard cups and leave it aside for about 10 minutes.
In a large bowl, add 6 large eggs, 3 cups whole milk, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, and 3/4 cup sugar. Beat the ingredients until combined well.
Pour the mixture into baking cups over caramelised sugar. Place the cups in baking pans with 1-inch depth water and bake at 350 F for about 40-45 minutes.
Remove the pan and let it cool. Run a knife around the edges and invert the cup on plates.
Serve it warm or chilled!
