With the festive season around the corner try this delicious motichoor ladoo recipe at home and enjoy it with your loved ones!
To make the sugar syrup, add sugar, saffron threads, and water to a pan and cook until the sugar dissolves and reaches thread consistency. Set aside.
Make a batter with gram flour (besan), crushed saffron and water. Make sure the batter is smooth and doesn't has any lumps.
Heat oil in a kadai or pan. Use a perforated ladle and pour batter on it. Press it with another spoon so the batter falls in the hot oil from the perforations. Fry the boondi until golden brown but make sure it is soft.
In a blender or mixer, add the fried boondi and hot sugar syrup. Add a tablespoon of hot water and mix it to get a smaller shape boondi. Add some melon seeds and black cardamom seeds to it and mix well.
Apply some ghee or oil on your palms and shape the ladoos. Garnish them with dried fruits, melon seeds, or raisins and refrigerate before serving.
