5 Steps to Make Healthy Beetroot Uttapam

 Beetroot Uttapam is a vibrant, healthy twist on the traditional South Indian dish. Here are 5 simple steps to make this nutritious treat at home:

Prepare Batter

Combine rice, urad dal, and fenugreek seeds. Soak them for 4-6 hours and grind into a smooth batter. Let it ferment overnight.

Grate Beetroot

Grate fresh beetroot finely and set aside. The beetroot will add colour and natural sweetness to your uttapam.

Heat Tawa

Heat a non-stick tawa or skillet and lightly grease it with oil.

Cook Uttapam

Pour a ladle of batter onto the tawa, and spread it into a thick circle, sprinkle-grated beetroot, chopped onions and green chillies on top.

Serve and Enjoy

Cook both sides until golden brown and crisp. Serve hot with coconut chutney and sambar for a complete meal.
