BR Ambedkar Statue in Andhra Pradesh Amongst Tallest in World

The architect of Indian constitution and legendary social reformer BR Ambedkar's tallest statue now stands in Vijaywada in Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.
The 'Statue of Social Justice' will be among the tallest statues in the world.
The Statue of Social Justice is 206 feet high.
The statue has been completely 'Made in India'. Around 400 tonnes of steel went into making the mammoth structure.
The area surrounding the statue, along with the Swaraj Maidan, where it is built, has been re-developed by the Andhra Pradesh government.
