While Muzan is undeniably the most powerful villain in the story, his sole powers thus far include creating demons with his blood, murdering people in a second, and shape-shifting. Unlike the other Upper Moons, he lacks any intriguing Blood Demon Art, making him a somewhat generic villain.

Muzan's backstory is average, with little emotion and no significant character growth. Unlike other Upper Moons such as Daki-Gyutaro, Akaza, and Kokushibo, Muzan's backstory is very cliché.
