My Hero Academia’s fourth big film will be released in Japanese theatres later this summer. My Hero Academia: You’re Next’s team released a new update!

Season 7 of My Hero Academia premiered as part of the Spring 2024 season schedule, and later this summer, viewers will be treated to a new film exploring more of the ruined Japan between the events of Seasons 6 and 7.

My Hero Academia: You’re Next is set to launch in August, and fans have been receiving regular updates on its progress as the movie moves closer to its theatrical debut.

The newest behind-the-scenes update comes from those working on the new movie’s sound production, who say that it’s almost finished with an amusing look at how everything is coming together.

The new film has not yet announced its plans for a worldwide distribution, but it is at least one step closer to completion!

The plot of the upcoming film is currently unknown, although Horikoshi recently revealed the setting of My Hero Academia: You’re Next as follows, “It’ll take place after the War from Season 6, meaning that the collapsed society will be the stage this time. After having been through so much and learning so many things, who will Deku and his friends fight against this time? What will they protect?"
