The Indian general election finally began on Friday (April 19).

Today, the voting is also taking place in Tamil Nadu, and several renowned stars of South Indian cinema stepped out to cast their votes.

Rajinikanth

Dressed casually, the veteran actor was spotted at a polling station as he patiently waited for his chance. After casting his vote, the actor posed with the ink-marked finger.

Dhanush

Escorted by his security and the police, actor Dhanush was also spotted at a polling booth. Later, he happily posed as he showed his inked finger.

Ajith Kumar

Actor Ajith was the first to step out in the early hours to cast his vote. As per Trade Analyst Ramesh Bala, Ajith came at 6:45 am.

Vijay Sethupathi 

After exercising his right to vote, Sethupathi happily posed for the cameras as he showed off his inked finger.

Casually dressed, actor Harish was captured outside a polling booth after he cast his vote.
