On Thursday, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made her maiden appearance at the 77th Cannes Film Festival in a black and golden gown with dramatic white balloon sleeves and a long trail with gold embellishment.
Aishwarya walked the red carpet at the screening of Francis Ford Coppola's Megalopolis as a brand ambassador of the beauty brand L'Oreal Paris.
She chose an outfit from the designer duo Falguni Shane Peacock for the first day at the festival. The former Miss World let her show-stealing ensemble do the fashion talk, keeping it simple with her rest of the look. Miss World loosely tied her hair and completed her look with golden hoops. She was spotted with a cast on her hand as she posed for pictures.
Aishwarya arrived at the French Riviera with her travel companion - her teenage daughter Aaradhya Bachchan on Thursday.
This is Aishwarya Rai's 22nd year at the Cannes Film Festival. Joining her at Cannes this year will be fellow actors Aditi Rao Hydari, Shobita Dhulipala, Jacqueline Fernandes and Kiara Advani.
