Spacious Living Area

Provide a roomy and secure enclosure or hutch for your rabbits. They need space to move around, stretch, stand up on their hind legs, and perform natural behaviours like hopping and digging.

Proper Diet

Offer a balanced diet of hay, fresh vegetables, and pellets formulated specifically for rabbits. Ensure they have a constant supply of fresh water. Avoid feeding them foods that are toxic to rabbits, like chocolate or certain plants.

Enrichment

Stimulate their minds by providing toys, tunnels, cardboard boxes, and items they can chew on. Rabbits enjoy exploring, so give them opportunities to do so in a safe environment.

Socialisation

Rabbits are social animals and often thrive with companionship. Consider keeping them in pairs to prevent loneliness. Ensure they’re properly introduced if they are not already familiar with each other.

Grooming

Regularly brush your rabbits to remove loose fur and prevent matting. Trim their nails when necessary and check their teeth to ensure they’re not overgrown, which can lead to health issues.

Veterinary Care

Schedule regular check-ups with a rabbit-savvy vet. Rabbits are good at hiding illnesses, so any change in behaviour or eating habits should prompt a vet visit.

Safe Environment

Rabbit-proof your home by removing any wires, toxic plants, or small items they could chew on and potentially ingest. Provide a safe, supervised area for them to exercise outside of their enclosure.
