Always share or serve food with serving spoons. To maintain hygiene and respect everyone present at the table, do not use your own spoon or fork to take your portion.

Avoid talking while eating and also do not chew with your mouth open. It's considered impolite in many cultures and is considered bad table manners.

Whenever using a napkin or tissue, place it on your lap instead of the table. After using it to wipe your hands and mouth, place it either on your lap or your chair.

Avoid leaving too much food on your plate as it is considered disrespectful towards the host and it also adds to the food wastage.

Do not burp! Take a quick trip to the restroom if you feel uncomfortable.

In some cultures, it's customary to serve the elders first. Hence wait for the elders to take their portion before serving yourself.

Once you finish your meal, make sure that the rims of your plate are clean to show respect to the service staff. Also move all the discards on the left side of the plate.
