Jujutsu Kaisen’s Nanami To Get A Memorial from Malaysian Govt

Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the industry’s most successful shows, and its legacy is being felt all over the world following season two. Now, the Malaysian government has revealed intentions to build a memorial beach house in honour of the late Kento Nanami.

The announcement comes after Nanami’s goal of retiring to a Malaysian beach was disclosed in season two. Since his sad death, followers have taken to social media, designating Kuantan Beach as a ‘Nanami Kento Memorial Shrine’ on maps. This display of affection aroused the interest of Malaysian tourist officials.

A Malaysian government tourism executive revealed plans for memorial to boost tourism. Leong Yu Man stated that their team is keen to capitalise on the popularity of Kuantan’s beach, which was mentioned in Jujutsu Kaisen season two.

“Fans of the [Jujutsu Kaisen] anime have marked [the beach] on Google Maps as a memorial to the character Nanami Kento. We hope the government can get an endorsement from the creator [of Jujutsu Kaisen] so that the beach becomes a new attraction for anime fans around the world,” Leong Yu Man said.

The Malaysian government is currently attempting to contact Jujutsu Kaisen’s creator to get approval for such a monument.
