As the finale episode of House of the Dragon season 2 dropped today, fans expressed shock and disappointment at how lukewarm it was. While some called the episode the best of the entire season, others said it was ‘anticlimactic’.
Fans were upset that the season 2 finale episode left us with a similar feeling – the war is coming. This is exactly what we felt as season 1 closed.
Fans also felt that the season 2 finale episode could have been the 8th episode and not final and would have made more sense if makers made a total of 10 episodes in this season, much like previous times.
Some also pointed out that it was all extra tension built through the season with makers failing to release in the finale. Now we will have to wait for another 2 years for season 3 when we can expect some form of dragon war to begin.
Some netizens felt that the House of the Dragon is just a show where everything is constantly about to happen but doesn’t happen. They said that the entirety of Season 2 should have been a 3 episode arc, nothing more and nothing less.
Some got angry and asked ‘Where are the curve balls?’ ‘Where are the deaths?’ I’m sick of preparing for war. Go to war already!
