Robert De Niro recently revealed that he has welcomed his seventh child at the age of 79. He is not the only one to have welcomed a baby at such an age. Here's a look at other celebrities who became dads at a later age in life.  

Michael Douglas - 58

Michael Douglas already had two year-old son Dylan when he welcomed his second child Carys with Catherine Zeta-Jones at 58. Douglas is also father to Cameron, 36, his son from his previous relationship with Diandra Luka.

Mick Jagger- 56

Rollingstones front-man fathered son Lucas at the age of 56 after he had a fleeting relationship the boy's mother back in 1999. Lucas is Jagger's seventh child. 

Elton John- 66

Elton John was 66 wehn he became a father for the first time. The 'Candle in the Wind' hit maker and husband David Furnish used a surrogate mother to become parents to Zachary in 2011. The couple welcomed their second child Elijah in 2013. 

Hugh Grant- 51

Grant, the quintessential bachelor- welcomed his first child, daughter Tabitha at the age of 51 before having his son Felix the following year with on/off girlfriend Tinglan Hong.

Simon Cowell- 53

Simon Cowell welcomed his first child, baby boy, at 53 with his partner Lauren Silverman. Speaking of his desire to have a second child, Simon told Heat: "I wouldn't rule anything out right now. Eric's been adorable, so maybe."

Billy Joel -65

Singer Billy Joel welcomed  his second child at the age of 65 with girlfriend Alexis Roderick. The 'Uptown Girl' crooner is already father to Alexa Ray, his daughter with ex-wife Christie Brinkley.
