In an interview with Deadline, Sony Motion Pictures Group chairperson Tom Rothman confirmed that Murphy will be returning as Jim for 28 Years Later. But the extent of his role is not yet known. Rothman also said that Murphy would be back in a surprising way.
Like in the season 4 premiere, where we saw the Wind Hashira, Sanemi Shinazugawa, and the Serpent Hashira, Obanai Iguro, invading a demon stronghold, Demon Slayer Season 4 may have filler sequences that aren’t in the manga.

For the heroes of Demon Slayer, the Hashira Training arc is a pivotal moment that allows them to reflect while they train, collaborate, and plot the destruction of Demon King Muzan Kibutsuji.

Seasons 1 and 2 were released two years apart, however, the wait period has lessened with each following season. Season 2 premiered in 2022, just one year later season 3 aired in 2023. With its premiere exactly a year later, Season 4 continues this trend. So it seems Season 5 might just be around the corner.
