Power star Pawan Kalyan, one of the most popular actors of Telugu Cinema, took oath as Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pardesh on Wednesday. The actor-turned-politician who is getting praised by his colleagues from Indian cinema has had a massive following throughout his career.  While the actor will now take up the role of a lawmaker in real now, here's a look back at the times he played a custodian of law on screen.

The action-comedy film fetaured Pawan Kalyan and Shruti Haasan. A remake of Hindi blockbuster Dabangg, the plot revolved around a police officer who embarks on a mission to take down a corrupt politician. 

Vakeel Saab

Power star Pawan Kalyan played a lawyer who defends a group of girls involved in a sexual harassment case. The film was a remake of Amitabh Bachchan starrer Pink. 

Bheemla Nayak

awan Kalyan played Sarhad Bheemla Nayak, a sub-inspector in the film that also featured Rana Daggubati. It was an official remake of the 2020 Malayalam film Ayyappanum Koshiyum. 

Ustad Bhagat Singh 

The Deputy CM will next be seen playing a cop in the action drama film Ustaad Bhagat Singh.  The film is directed by Harish Shankar. The release date of the film is not known yet.
