In a bold step towards transparency, Netflix released viewership data for 99% of its expansive catalogue, comprising more than 18,000 titles available worldwide. Here are some Indian shows and films that featured in the top 1,000 most-watched movies and shows globally.

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar (Overall Rank: 756)

With a watch time of 2.71 million hours, the Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor film is the 8th most-watched Indian title on Netflix between January to June 2023.

Class: Season 1 (Overall Rank: 718)

The first season of the Indian drama series was the 7th most watched among Indian movies and shows with a watch time of 27.7 million hours.

RRR (Overall Rank: 654)

The fictitious story about two legendary revolutionaries played by Jr. NTR and Ram Charan is arguably one of the most successful movies of the year and garnered a watch time of 29.4 million hours on the streaming giant.

Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway (Overall Rank: 645)

Rani Mukherjee's film was among the most-watched Indian title on Netflix with a total watch time of 29.6 million hours.

Indian Matchmaking: Season 3 (Overall Rank: 609)

The latest season of the Indian reality series was the fourth most-watched Indian title with a watch time of 30.6 million hours.

Mission Majnu (Overall Rank: 593)

Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna starrer spy-thriller was the third most watched among Indian movies or series on Netflix and recorded a watch time of 31.2 million hours.

Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga (Overall Rank: 395)

The Yami Gautam and Sunny Kaushal film streamed on Netflix back in late March and has since garnered a watch time of 41.7 million hours.

Rana Naidu: Season 1 (Overall Rank: 330)

Netflix’s web series starring Venkatesh and Rana Daggubati became the only Indian series to feature in the top 400 with a watch time of 4.63 million hours.
