National Award-winning Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon has been honoured with the prestigious UAE Golden Visa in the Bollywood Actress category.
The actress has joined the ranks of renowned Indian film celebrities like Sanjay Dutt, Sania Mirza, Boney Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan among others, who previously received this honour.
The Golden Visa was presented to Kriti by ECH Digital CEO Iqbal Marconi. Expressing her gratitude, she wrote, “It’s an honour to receive the UAE Golden Visa. Dubai has a special place in my heart, and I look forward to being part of its vibrant cultural landscape.”
Introduced by the UAE in 2019, the Golden Visa system facilitates long-term residence visas, granting foreigners the opportunity to live, work, and study in the UAE independently, without the need for a national sponsor, and with full ownership of their business.
This system offers long-term residency (5 and 10 years) to specific groups, including investors, entrepreneurs, individuals with outstanding talents such as researchers, medical professionals, those in scientific and knowledge fields, and remarkable students.
Applicants for Golden Visa can choose to apply through the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA), available online only, or the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), which accepts both online and offline applications.
Presently, the cost of a 5-year and 10-year UAE Golden Visa is approximately AED 650 and AED 1,150, respectively.
