Bollywood Celebs Support Lakshadweep Tourism Amid Maldives Row

The row over disparaging comments by Maldivian ministers following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Lakshadweep, several Indian celebrities came out to support the PM and his advice to explore the Indian Islands. 

Earlier this week, PM Modi shared mind-blowing photos of himself from the beautiful island, as he shared his ‘exhilarating experience’ with the world. 

Many celebrities, including Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and others have hailed the mystic beauty of the island. 

Shraddha Kapoor 

Actress Shraddha Kapoor praised the pristine beaches of Lakshadweep. “All these images and memes making me super FOMO now. Lakshadweep has such pristine beaches and coastlines, thriving local culture, I’m on the verge of booking an impulse chhutti This year, why not #ExploreIndianIslands,” she wrote on X.

The actor reacted to the hateful remarks of the Maldivian minister against PM Modi over his Lakshadweep visit, and wrote, “We are good to our neighbours but why should we tolerate such unprovoked hate? I’ve visited the Maldives many times and always praised it, but dignity first. Let us decide to #ExploreIndianIslands and support our own tourism.”

“It is so cool to see our Hon PM Narendrabhai Modi at the beautiful clean n stunning beaches of Lakshadweep, and the best part is that yeh hamare India mein hain,” Khan wrote on X.
