Salman Khan's new release this Eid

Salman Khan's new release Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is reportedly a remake of Tamil film Veeram which released in 2014. Here's a look at some of Salman's iconic films which were actually remakes of south-Indian films. 

Wanted- Pokiri

Wanted (2009) was helmed by Prabhu Deva and starred Salman Khan and Ayesha Takia in the lead. It was a remake of Telugu film Pokiri which starred Mahesh Babu and had released in 2006

Tere Naam - Sethu

The 2003 film starred Salman Khan and Bhumika Chawla and was directed by Satish Kaushik. The film was a remake of Tamil film Sethu which starred Vikram in the lead

Ready- Ready

The 2011 film featured Salman Khan and Asin and was a remake of a Telugu film by the same name. The original Telugu fim featured Ram and Genelia D'Souza

Bodyguard-Bodyguard

Directed by Siddiquie, Bodugaurd (2011) featured Salman Khan , Kareena Kapoor Khan and Hazel Keech in the lead roles. The original film was made in Malayalam in 2009 and featured Dileep and Nayanthara

Jai Ho- Stalin

Jai Ho released in 2014 and featured Tabu, Daisy Shah along with Salman Khan. The film was a remake of Telugu film Stalin which was in turn was inspired from American film Pay It Forward.
