5 Hindi Blockbusters That Released On Independence Day

As many as 11 films will be released on 15   August 2024. Makers have over the years cashed in and strategically released films on Independence Day weekend to ensure maximum footfall in the theatres. Three Hindi films are releasing this Independence which includes Khel Khel Mein, Stree 2 and Vedaa. Whether these films are able to create magic at the box office will only be determined a few days later. However, here's a look at some of the past blockbusters that released on Independence Day.  

Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008)

Directed by Siddharth Anand and featured Ranbir Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Minisha Lamba and Deepika Padukone. 

Ek Tha Tiger(2012)

Directed by Kabir Khan and featured Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Girish Karnad. 

Singham Returns (2014)

Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film starred Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Satyamev Jayate (2018)

Directed by Milap Zaveri, featured John Abraham, Manoj Bajpayee.

Mission Mangal (2019)

Directed by Jagan Shakti, the film featured Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sharman Joshi, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu and Kirti Kulhari.
