The 69th National Film Awards were conferred to film artists in various categories from different languages. The ceremony took place at New Delhi and the President of India Draupadi Murmu conferred the awards to winners.

Alia Bhatt took home the Best Actress Award for her performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi. She was accompanied by her husband Ranbir Kapoor at the ceremony.

Kriti Sanon

Along with Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon too won the Best Actress award for her role in Mimi.

Actor Allu Arjun won the Best Actor National Award for his role in Pushpa

Pallavi Joshi won Best Supporting Actress Award for The Kashmir Files while Pankaj Tripathi won Best Support Actor for Mimi.

RRR Wins Big!

Global hit RRR won in multiple categories including Most Popular Film, Background Score, Choreography, Action and Special Effects

Shreya Ghoshal picked up her 5th National Film Award for Best Playback Singer (Female). Kala Bhairava won the same award in the male category.

R Madhavan's film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect won the Best Film Award 

Waheeda Rehman

Legendary actress Waheeda Rehman was awarded with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
