Kangana Ranaut to Suresh Gopi- How Actors Fared At The Lok Sabha Elections 2024

From Kangana Ranaut to Arun Govil- the 2024 Lok Sabha elections has a number of actors contesting from various contituencies across the country. Here's a look at who won and who lost. 

Kangana Ranaut (BJP, Mandi) 

Kangana Ranaut was one of the star candidates for BJP at Lok Sabha Polls 2024. The actress is won in Mandi in Himachal Pradesh defeating Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh by over 71, 000 votes.

Arun Govil (BJP, Meerut)

Another debutant at this year's polls, actor Arun Govil, best known for playing Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar's hit TV show Ramayan, won against Samajwadi Party's Sunita Verma.

Suresh Gopi (BJP, Thrissur) 

While Kerala is dominated by Congress and the CPM, BJP candidate, actor Suresh Gopi is won in Thrissur consituency. Gopi's win was the only win for BJP in Kerala. 

Shatrughan Sinha (TMC, Asansol) 

Having quit BJP worked for actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha. The veteran actor contested with Trinamool Congress ticket from Asansol, West Bengal and won.

Hema Malini (BJP, Mathura) 

Incumbent MP, actress Hema Malini won in Mathura constituency with a huge margin. Hema Malini is a BJP MP who won the Mathura seat in the previous elections. 

Smriti Irani (BJP, Amethi)

Minister of Women and Child Development, Smriti Irani had unseated Congress's Rahul Gandhi from his family bastion Amethi in Uttar Pradesh, lost in the massive prestige battle raging there this year. The Congress candidate, Gandhi family loyalist KL Sharma won Amethi back for Congress. 

Manoj Tiwari (BJP, Northeast Delhi) 

BJP candidate and Bhojpuri actor and singer Manoj Tiwari is winning in Northeast Delhi. He won against Congress Party's Kanhaiya Kumar.

Dev Adhikari (TMC, Ghatal)

TMC candidate and Bengali superstar Dev Adhikari won against BJP's DR. Hiranmoy Chattopadhyay in Ghatal, West Bengal.
