Fastest to 50 CWC wickets: Mitchell Starc 

Australian bowler secured his record-breaking 50th wicket by dismissing India’s opener Ishan Kishan in his 19th CWC outing, surpassing Lasith Malinga, who took 25 innings to reach 50 wickets in the Cricket World Cup. 

Fastest CWC century: Aiden Markram 

South African batter scored a century off just 49 balls, hitting 14 fours and three sixes. Coming in at 214-2 in the 31st over, Aiden plundered Sri Lanka, smashing the World Cup record. 

Biggest CWC team total: South Africa (428/5) 

Riding on the blitzkrieg of Aiden Markram, the South African team broke Australia’s record from the 2015 edition when it scored 417/7 against Sri Lanka in Delhi. South Africa now holds the record for the team with the highest ODI World Cup total of 428/5. 

Biggest successful CWC chase: Pakistan (345) 

Pakistani batters Mohammad Rizwan and Abdullah Shafique scored centuries to help their team in the biggest-ever successful chase in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup history. 

Rohit Sharma: Most CWC hundreds (7) and most international sixes (556) 

Indian Captain Rohit Sharma hammered 131 runs off 84 balls against Afghanistan, breaking several records. It took him 19 CWC innings and three World Cup campaigns to score most CWC hundreds. Rohit also surpassed Chris Gayle to become the player to hit the most international sixes.
