Microsoft Corporation was founded in 1975 by Bill Gates and Paul Allen. The company's first office was in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This office was established to develop and market the first product from Microsoft, which was a version of the programming language BASIC for the Altair 8800 microcomputer.
