In a statement, Vodafone's new CEO Della Vella said that the company's performance had not been good enough, and to consistently deliver, Vodafone must change.

The British Telecom giant is already cutting jobs in its big markets. Earlier this year, Vodafone said it was shedding 1,000 jobs in Italy. And as per a media report, it was looking to axe 1,300 jobs in Germany.
