Kunal Kohli to adapt epic drama Ramayana for the big screen

The filmmaker plans on casting new faces for the film
Fanaa director Kunal Kohli is currently working on an interesting project as he revealed that he wants tobring the Hindu mythological tale of Ramayana to the big screen.
Kunal said, “I’m producing and directing a movie on The Ramayana. I’m casting relatively new actors for it.”
Reportedly, the filmmaker will soon make an official announcement regarding the film. He is currently in the process of casting actors for the epic drama. He has been working on this ambitious project for quite some time.
When asked if he will make any major changes to the plot, Kunal said, “I’m making it like the epic is. I’m excited about it.”
The film will go on floors this year and is expected to release in 2019.
Kunal is known for delivering several hits to the Hindi entertainment industry including Rani Mukerji starrer Hum Tum in 2004 and Aamir Khan starrer Fanaa in 2006.
