A Malaysian man is receiving hate after he divorced his wife who cared for him while he was bedridden for six years following a car accident. The man even married another woman within a week of the separation.

Sin Chew Daily reported that Nurul Syazwani married the man in 2016 and the two were in a long-distance marriage for two years. They have a son together. Her husband was then injured in a car accident and could not move. He was this way for six years and during this time, his wife took care of him in every possible way. 

She fed him through a nasogastric tube, changed his diapers, and helped him take a bath. In 2019, Syazwani started sharing her experience on Facebook with others and amassed several followers. She told people how even a cough scared her and she would perform rehabilitation for him every day. Even her family pitched in and helped, letting her rest. 

However, she recently shared a wedding photo showing her husband with another woman.

People were shocked to see him remarry after everything Nurul did for him. She wrote alongside the photo, "Congratulations to my ‘husband’. I hope you are happy with the one you chose. Aifa Aizam, please take good care of him like I did. I am done with him; now it is your turn to take over."

Angry netizens slam man for leaving his wife

Her followers started slamming her husband for leaving her and remarrying after which Syazwani deleted it. In anothe post, she informed her followers that they had officially divorced on Oct 6 after "fulfilling their responsibilities as a married couple". 

She further said that they will co-parent the child and requested people not to criticise them for the decision. "Everything happens for a reason," she wrote.

As per reports, the wedding happened only a week after the divorce.

While Syazwani seems to have graciously accepted the marriage, netizens cannot believe the man's ingratitude. "I don’t believe he fulfilled his duties as a husband. How can someone be so ungrateful, as if he has no heart?"

Others stated that a woman like her does not deserve such a man and a brighter future waits for her.
