As per the Wall Street Journal polls, Donald Trump is leading with 47 per cent over Kamala Harris with 45 per cent votes, found on Wednesday (Oct 23). The poll highlights a difference of four points from a survey conducted in August, which showed Kamala had a little advantage over Trump.

The Wall Street Journal poll surveyed 1,500 registered voters from 19 October to 22 October. It also kept error margins of 2.5 percentage points which could be added or subtracted. Therefore, the difference in votes is within the error margin, which means that even Kamala Harris could lead Trump or vice-versa, as per the Journal.

The poll released on Wednesday found that 53 per cent of voters have a negative view against her and only 45 per cent have favourable views of the current vice president Kamala Harris.

According to the Journal polls, Kamala Harris received the worst job rating for her role as vice President. Only 42 per cent of people were satisfied with her job as vice President of the United States, which highlights that the majority of residents do not approve of her office as the second-in-command to outgoing President Joe Biden.

However, Trump has seen a change in the most recent poll by the Journal, with voters having a more favourable view towards him. A majority of 52 per cent of the voters have approved his job as the former President of the US.

When the Journal asked the voters about the economy and immigration, they thought that Trump did a better job than Harris. However, when they were asked about the issue of abortion, they preferred Harris over Trump.

The New York Post cited Republican pollster David Lee, who told the Journal, “Voters are finally getting to know her.”
