According to the Middle East Eye, Battah is one of the many Palestinians who were arrested by the IDF during their ongoing invasion of the besieged Kamal Adwan Hospital in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza reports that Israeli forces have invaded Kamal Adwan Hospital, holding hundreds of patients, medical staff, and displaced neighbours seeking refuge from ongoing bombardments.

Several children were also killed after the IDF bombed the main oxygen station.

Just hours before his arrest, Battah shared an Instagram story showing bombed residential blocks in Jabalia.

A 'happy face'storyteller

Battah is originally from northern Gaza and is known for his "powerful voice" during the ongoing war.

He has shared various stories related to the war with a mix of sarcasm.

He grabbed the attention of the internet, especially in the Middle East, after a United States-based non-profit organisation Unicorn Riot featured his story in which he talked about the "forced starvation" in Gaza amidst the war.

In the story, he talked about how Palestinians were foraging for basic sustenance, and how the native flora was helping people survive.

Battah won hearts on the internet via his "happy" style of narrating a story as in all his stories he was seen smiling even when he was talking about "brutal killings" in Gaza.
