Gdansk lights a giant heart in tribute to slain mayor

Sea of candles in the shape of a giant heart lit up a memorial in Gdansk on Wednesday honouring the city's mayor who died after being stabbed at a charity event. Thousands of people gathered outside the gates of the iconic Gdansk shipyard, the birthplace of anti-communist Solidarity movement, to pay tribute to Pawel Adamowicz, the city's mayor for the past 20 years.
