‘MYSTERIOUS MONOLITH!’

Similar versions of the 10-foot-tall, Toblerone-shaped steel monolith have been found in the US states of Utah, New Mexico, and California, as well as the United Kingdom and Romania in 2020.

This time around, the reflective metal installation was found at Gass Peak which is 64 kilometres north of Las Vegas.

According to media reports, the structure was spotted by the Las Vegas Metro Search and Rescue team in the desert in a hiking area an hour north of Sin City.

Aliens? An elaborate prank?

The series of discoveries starting in 2020 has sparked many conspiracy theories involving aliens, while others suggest that it could just be a highly coordinated and elaborate prank.

The first so-called monolith was discovered by accident when wildlife officials were counting bighorn sheep from a helicopter in a desert in the US state of Utah. The structure mysteriously disappeared less than 10 days later.

The more recent one was found on a hill in Wales, United Kingdom back in March. The peculiar structure left locals in the Hay-on-Wye region baffled.

Over the years, each of the monoliths which have been discovered mostly in the US and the UK was between 10 and 12 feet tall, appeared out of nowhere and disappeared just like that.
