Liverpool CEO Peter Moore extends support to flood-ravaged Kerala

Liverpool CEO Peter Moore has extended his support to help flood-ravaged Kerala, grappling with its worst floods since 1924.

Kerala Reds, the official supporters group of Liverpool from the region, posted an online campaign on their official Twitter handle inviting people to donate to the Kerala Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF).

Peter Moore retweeted it with a captain, "Dear @KeralaReds, Our international supporters liaison team will be in contact to see what we can do to help. Thank you for reaching out, and please know that all of us here @LFC are thinking about you in this time of extreme difficulty #YNWA"


Kerala, the South Indian state of India has been submerged in water after constant rains which has caused widespread destruction.

Over 350 people have died and thousands have been moved to relief camps due to heavy rains and landslides.

Rescue operations are going in full swing to help people who are trapped without food, water and electricity.

An adviser to the state's chief minister put the initial loss estimate at $4 billion.
