Delhi have defeated Mumbai by 37 runs to win the campaign opener. While chasing a target of 214 runs, Mumbai collapsed for 176 runs.

Yuvraj Singh departed soon after reaching his fifty. The left-handed batsman played a brilliant knock and departed after making 53 runs off 35 balls.

Mumbai drew the first blood by dismissing Delhi opener Prithvi Shaw. Shaw, who is well versed with the Delhi ground, could not stand in front of the Mumbai bowlers and gave away his wicket after an unfortunate edge.

He departed after making just 7 runs of six balls off Mitchell McClenaghan.

For Delhi, Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan have opened the innings. Dhawan, who was earlier with Hyderabad, switched to Delhi for this season. 

How well will Dhawan perform for Delhi is something to be seen. The team is lead by Shreays Iyer, who last season, replaced now retired Gautam Gambhir after a poor show of performance.
