Light drizzle prevented play from starting on time in the fifth and final day of the third Test between Australia and India in Melbourne on Sunday.
The home team were 258 for eight overnight, chasing a huge 399 to win.
Pat Cummins was not out 61 and Nathan Lyon on six, with just Josh Hazlewood to come.
The four-Test series is tied 1-1 with only the Sydney Test later this week left.
