Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited the violence-hit district of Mandsaur and handed over a cheque of Rs 1 crore to the kin of those who were killed last week during the protests.
The state government sanctioned financial aid of Rs one crore on Tuesday.
The Madhya Pradesh chief minister went on an indefinite fast on Saturday in the wake of farmers agitation demanding better prices for their produce and a farm loan waiver.
Farmers have been protesting in Mandsaur and other areas in Madhya Pradesh since June 1.
The protests intensified after five farmers were killed in police firing on June 6.
Another farmer was killed on June 9 allegedly by the police.
The chief minister also assured the family members of those who were killed of strict action against the guilty.
