India's High Commissioner to Pakistan Ajay Bisaria is set to meet Pak's Prime Minister in waiting Imran Khan on Friday.
Citing sources a report said that the meeting may highlight the issue of trust deficit between the two countries and the need for resolving it.
Imran Khan had earlier met the envoys of US, Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, UK and UAE.
The meeting comes ahead of Khan's swearing-in as the Prime Minister of the country.
Bisaria is expected to meet Khan at his Bani Gala mansion at around 4 pm (local time).
He will be accompanied by Deputy High Commissioner.
Prime Minister Modi had earlier congratulated Khan over a phone call where he talked about evolving a "joint strategy" to ensure progress in bilateral ties between the two countries.
This will be the first High-level meeting between Indian and Pakistan after PM Modi's call.
