Robert Downey Jr.
One of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood, Robert Downey Jr has been quite open about his drug addiction. He spent years in and out of rehab, sobering up, slipping up, and getting arrested. The actor says he used drugs at a very young age and spent most of his early career under its influence.
In 2003, Downey’s fortunes changed when he met his wife Susan Levin. The actor claims that Levin is the one who convinced him to turn his life around. Levin reportedly told Downey that she would not tie the knot with him unless he quit drugs altogether.

Daniel Radcliffe
Daniel Radcliffe well known for his 'Harry Potter' franchise has been outspoken about his battle against alcohol addiction. The actor says that he used to drink a lot during the filming of the last three Potter films and finally realized it was something he couldn’t control.
Radcliffe says the uncertainty that came with the 'Harry Potter' franchise ending dangerously contributed to his alcoholism. The now 31-year-old actor has been sober since 2010.

Bradley Cooper
Bradley Cooper one of the Hollywood's leading man, has also witnessed the dark phase in his life. Over the years Cooper has been very candid about his life’s struggles with alcoholism and depression, and what inspired him to put down the battle for good.
Cooper first revealed that he was sober in 2012, confessing that he quit doing drugs and drinking alcohol at the age of 29 "I don't drink or do drugs at all anymore," he admitted. "Being sober helps a great deal."

Ben Affleck
Oscar-winning actor Ben Affleck has been open about his issues with alcohol. The actor went to rehab several times in the past dacade. Affleck admits that he was always a drinker but over the years, the alcohol became less and less a social activity and more a part of his daily routine.
The actor says his divorce with his wife Jennifer Garner was rough, heartbreaking and that experience taught him how important it is for him to be sober and present for his own children. He also credits Garner for helping him through the difficult times.

Demi Lovato
Demi Lovato has fought a tough battle with addiction and overdose in the past. In her documentary 'Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated', she admitted about her overdose, "I was sneaking cocaine on planes, I was sneaking it in bathrooms, sneaking it throughout the night. I went on a bender of like, two months, where I was using daily. I would fake my drug tests with other people's pee,”. However, after a tough journey and with a lot of help from family and friends, the singer has returned back to her life and currently is raising her voice to encourage people who are struggling with mental health and addiction.

Justin Bieber
Justin Bieber, in an episode of his documentary series 'Justin Bieber: Sessions,' got candid about his past drug use, and smoking marijuana when he was 12 or 13. Later he got involved with alcohol, pills and many more heavy drugs. Bieber eventually decided he wanted to get sober when he "felt like he was dying." Justin still drinks alcohol in a social context but has avoided narcotics since.
