Lok Sabha elections 2024 LIVE: Kejriwal, Punjab CM Mann hold roadshow in Delhi

Delhi CM Kejriwal during a roadshow said he will not have to go to jail if people threw maximum weight behind his AAP party. "If you press the jhaadu button the maximum, I will not have to go back to jail. You have the power," Kejriwal said. Jhadu or Broom is the election symbol of AAP.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann held aroadshow at the Uttam Nagar locality in favour of AAP West Delhi Lok Sabha candidate Mahabal Mishra as Delhi will vote on all seven parliamentary seats on May 25th.

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann says, "...You all have to vote on May 25. If you give such a big 'fatwa' then Kejriwal Sahab will not have to go to jail again... BJP's government is not being formed. AAP and INDIA alliance are coming to power..."

Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal says, "...They (BJP) are saying that after 20 days, I will have to go back to jail but if you all press 'Jhadu' button then I won't have to go back to jail. You have the power..."

On the statement of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, former Haryana Chief Minister and BJP candidate from Karnal Lok Sabha seat Manohar Lal Khattar said, "He (Arvind Kejriwal) is out of his mind... This is our job and that of our party leadership. There is no age limit in the constitution as to how long a person will hold the post of Prime Minister. If you ask Amit Shah, he will tell you who is going to become the Prime Minister ..."

According to reports, Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan was missing from Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's first meeting with AAP MLAs after he was granted an interim bail by the apex court. 

This comes amid reports that Khan and his son Anas Ahmed are facing allegations of assaulting and threatening staff at petrol pump in Noida Sector 95. An FIR has reportedly been registered against the duo. 

"Congress's corruption, Congress's nepotism and Congress's appeasement and secondly Left, Left's tyranny and anarchy, if we put all these evils together then only TMC is formed. Our Howrah is witnessing how Congress, Left and TMC have destroyed Bengal," said the Indian PM during a rally in Howrah, West Bengal. 

He added, "The way TMC is looting Bengal is a great sin.  Teacher recruitment scam, coal scam, chit fund scam, ration scam... what a long list it is. TMC has not even spared our farmers. TMC loots paddy farmers in the markets."

PM Modi has "He has handed over the nation's wealth to 4-5 people... He even implemented demonetisation which caused a lot of trouble to small businesses and women... Your condition hasn't improved in these 10 years, but you are shown all the good things on news channels," said Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra during a rally in the Indian city of Raebareli. 

She also spoke about how the PM has not visited any village or asked any farmer about his problems once in last 10 years. 

In a recent interview with the Hindustan Times, Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of AIMIM was asked when do you think India will get a Muslim PM to which he responded by saying that it will be "in the form of a woman wearing a hijab and heading this great nation. The time will come. Maybe I will not be alive to see that day, but it will happen inshallah."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday that no one could turn the Supreme Court's verdict on the Ram Mandir matter.

"The judgment of the Supreme Court on Ram Mandir won't be quashed. Nobody can stop the implementation of CAA," Modi said during a rally in Barrackpore. 

"Today, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal held a meeting with MLAs. All the MLAs expressed their happiness on his release. BJP's attempt to break AAP has completely failed. After Arvind Kejriwal's arrest, AAP has become stronger and has emerged as a family. AAP has fought this dictatorship together, and after Arvind Kejriwal's release, we will defeat this dictatorship," AAP leader Delhi Minister Atishi said on Sunday. 

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is set to hold a meeting with the Aam Aadmi Party MLAs in the national capital on Sunday for the first time after his release from Tihar Jail.
