Two terrorists were killed in an encounter that broke out between security forces and terrorists at Khur village in Damhal Hanjipora area of Kulgam district in morning hours.

A police official told that Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched in the area by a joint team of forces including 34 RR, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Kulgam Police on specific inputs about the presence of militants in wee hours of Today.
He said soon after trapping the militants, they were asked to surrender, adding that they, however, opened fire, which was retaliated, thus triggering the encounter.
