Lok Sabha Elections 2024: 'Will come to BJP HQ tomorrow, put in jail whoever you want to,' says Kejriwal

Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani said, ".Several opposition leaders are saying that Constitution will be shredded and democracy will be ended - all of these are baseless. Nobody can finish democracy in India or change the Constitution. Opposition is misleading." 

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha was seen in India for the first time in months amid the party crises, which began after Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and also the ongoing Swati Maliwal assault case.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's aide Bibhav Kumar, who has been accused of assaulting Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal, has been detained by the Delhi Police in connection with the case, the news agency ANI reported on Saturday.

"Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) will get maximum seats in Maharashtra...there is a layer of change in Maharashtra and it is in favour of Congress and MVA...Mamata Banerjee first said she would support us from outside, then she said and then she said that she would support INDIA alliance at the centre, this means that her party is still in INDIA alliance and it is a good thing," Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala told the news agency ANI. 

Congress Lok Sabha MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury called for a strict investigation into the Swati Maliwal assault case, adding the guilty should be arrested and interrogated. 

Speaking about PM Modi's statement that "SP, Congress will run bulldozer over Ram Temple if voted to power", Congress president Malliakarjun Kharge during a press conference in Mumbai, said, "We have not used bulldozers till date... The Election Commission should take action against those who make instigating speeches. The Prime Minister himself is doing it." 

He added, "He is provoking people. After our government comes, everything will be protected as per our Constitution, we will follow the Constitution."

The Congress president also said that the INDIA alliance will win 46 out of 48 seats in Maharashtra. "People are saying this themselves. Our alliance will win maximum seats and defeat BJP..." he added. 

"The illegal 'Mahayuti' government of Maharashtra was formed on the basis of betrayal and conspiracy and the Prime Minister himself is supporting it and his rallies are also being held in Maharashtra and wherever he goes, he tries to create a rift among the people," said Congress president Malliakarjun Kharge in Mumbai. 

He added, "The party symbol was taken away from the real parties and given to the parties supporting BJP. This is the decision of the court, ECI but everything happens on the instructions of Modi ji..."

Voters in the Indian financial capital will head to the polls on May 20. 

"Yesterday, Bibhav Kumar has filed a detailed complaint with the Delhi Police about what actually happened at the CM residence on May 13 morning. He has stated in the complaint how Swati Maliwal forcibly entered inside the CM residence," said Delhi minister and AAP leader Atishi, according to PTI. 

She added, "She argued with the security personnel and entered the drawing room of the residence. Swati Maliwal is not a child. Is she not aware that there is a protocol to meet the CM? The question is why she insisted on meeting the CM without taking any appointment? This shows that it was a conspiracy."
