Lupita Nyong’o to star in Christopher Nolan’s next

Christopher Nolan has planned an acting coup as he has signed some of the biggest Hollywood stars for his next project. Joining the likes of Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland and Zendaya is now Lupita Nyong’o. Hollywood Reporter broke the news of Lupita’s casting in the film.
Scheduled for theatrical release on July 17, 2026, Nolan’s next is a secretive project as far as the plot is concerned.
Work on the upcoming feature is expected to startin early 2025.
Plot details as well as the genre haven’t been confirmed.

What we do know about the film is that Christopher Nolan much like his previous films, will be writing and directing the film for Universal Pictures. It’s the same studio which backed Nolan’s Oscar-winning film Oppenheimer with Cillian Murphy in a leading role as scientist Oppenheimer himself. For the film, Nolan picked up the first directing Oscar of his career. The film traces the life of the scientist who went on to create the atomic bomb.

Oppenheimer was a massive hit for Christopher Nolan whose previous hit works include Dunkirk, The Dark Knight trilogy and Inception.
As for Lupita, she is an Oscar-winning actress who won her big award for her work in 12 Years A Slave. This will be her first feature with Nolan.
Lupita’s previous works include Marvel’s Black Panther and the sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Jordan Peele’s horror thriller Us and the post-apocalyptic sci-fi prequel A Quiet Place: Day One.
