‘Clueless’ grossed more than $56 million at the box office, at the time of release. It was based on Jane Austen's book ‘Emma’.
90s was a good time for romantic comedies as Hollywood filmmakers paid special emphasis on making films on that genre. For all romantic film lovers, hit film ‘Clueless’ cast reunited on Saturday at a panel during the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2).
Among all those who got together -- Alicia Silverstone (Cher Horowitz), Paul Rudd (Josh Lucas), Donald Faison (Murray Duvall) and Breckin Meyer (Travis Birkenstock) came for the event, ahead of the 25th anniversary of the film.
‘Clueless’ released in July, 1995. The recently held event was called the “Clueless' Reunion Panel," and was described as "a once in a lifetime" experience by the organisers.
The panel was an hour-long as the film stars spoke about their fondness for the film. Alicia said, "I loved playing Cher. It was such a fun character and working with these guys — every one of them was so much fun. I didn't know who that girl was, so it was really fun to be her. Because it wasn't, like, how I lived my life."
Rudd, meanwhile, joked about being “80 years old on the inside and a mess underneath” as fans asked him how he doesn’t seem to age.
Alicia, Donald shared photos of the reunion. See them here:
